THE HISTORY AND ORIGINS

The atelier of Alfonso Sirica Napoli represents a spearhead in the scenario of Neapolitan tailoring. It boasts a centuries-old history and a great artistic heritage.
The expert work of the tailor is made of an old and complex art. The accuracy, care and attention to finest and quality details are our priority. Dressing the “Made in Italy” represents a statement of unique and inimitable aesthetic identity. The story began in 1972 when a very young Alfonso Sirica was trained and learned the “trade” in the workshops of the master-tailors of the time. Fascinated and intrigued by this world, he decides to cultivate his talent obtaining in the eighties the Diploma at the School of Cutting and Sewing in Naples where he passes the exam with flying colors.
In 1981 thus began his experience as a tailor in his workshop where, with great dedication and commitment, he perfected this art.

So we arrive in the nineties when his small shop of a few square meters inside which there was only a sewing machine and a table, is transformed into a real workshop. Thanks to the exponential increase in recognition and visibility beyond the territorial boundaries he estrablishes himself in the scenario of neapolitan fashion. Alfonso begins to propose custom suits completely handmade with excellent fit and exclusive lines. Timeless clothing, custodians of the old Neapolitan tailoring tradition and unmistakable symbols of Made in Italy. The workshop has never lost its nature linked to old sartorial techniques and He has never succumbed to the temptation to bow to an industrialization process for reaching the numbers of the pret-a-porter. In the laboratory works a team of a few artisans but of significant mastery that with constant and unchanged commitment remain faithful to their origins and to the sacredness of this noble tailoring art. Here the fashions or trends are not imposed, clothing is custom. The only style is that of the customer.

Alfonso’s son, Fabio, has clear ideas and his father was able to pass him the secret of this success that lies in fidelity to themselves, in the genuine vocation to a luxury craftmanship.

Around 2005 the company opens to the international market and manages to connect the values of Neapolitan tailoring tradition to an increasingly global reality. Alfonso Sirica arrives on tiptoe, almost with fear, in Japan where he has been able to achieve excellent results and become a spokesman of Made in Italy. In 2019 the company is present at the trunk show at Isetan Men’s in Tokyo where he was able to tell himself in a unique and personal way, bringing in his clothes all the poetry. Japanese customers have a great culture about fashion and male elegance. So to be appreciated in a market like this has represented another prestigious recognition as evidence of the great work done by the company over the years.
